Are there any student lockers in the Library?

The Library has fifteen self-serve student lockers available on the third floor. 

 Locker Instructions

  • Place items in any locker with a green flashing light
  • Turn the knob to the 12 o'clock position
  • Enter any 4-digit code and to lock
  • Enter the same 4-digit code and to unlock
  • The green light indicates success, the red light indicates failure
  • Five unsuccessful tries to unlock will result in a 15-minute lock out
  • Student may visit the Help Desk for assistance

 Locker Policies

  • Lockers are available to current UT Tyler students only
  • Lockers are available on a first come, first served basis
  • Use is limited to one locker at a time
  • Empty lockers must remain unlocked
  • Library material must be checked out before being placed in a locker
  • Electronic devices must be muted or turned off
  • The following items are prohibited:
    • Illegal or hazardous items
    • Food
    • Beverages
    • Other liquids that might spill
    • Any item with a strong aroma 
  • The Library reserves the right to inspect lockers at any time
  • Illegal or dangerous items found in lockers will be reported to the proper authorities
  • All items must be removed by closing
    • Any items left overnight will be considered lost and will be removed
    • Items can be claimed at the Help Desk or the Campus Police Department lost and found
  • The Library is not responsible for any items stored in a locker or removed due to policy non-compliance
