You can access and read EBSCO eBooks on any computer connected to the internet without downloading or installing any special software. However, if you would like to download an eBook for offline reading or to transfer to an eReader device follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Download and install Adobe Digital Editions.

Step 2: Create a MyEBSCOhost login if you do not already have one. This login is unique to EBSCO databases and is not tied to your Patriot Credentials.

Step 3: Navigate to the record in EBSCO for the eBook you want to download.

Step 4: Click "Download This eBook (Offline)"

Step 5: You will be asked to sign in to your myEBSCOhost account (see Step 2) if you are not already logged in. Click "Sign in Now" and login.

Step 6: A download box should pop up automatically. Select the desired checkout period from the dropdown menu and click "Checkout & Download."

Step 7: You will be prompted to open or save the file. Be sure to open the book in Adobe Digital Editions.

Step 8: Open Adobe Digital Editions. The book should appear in your Borrowed shelf. When your checkout period expires, the book will no longer be accessible.
