How large is the library's collection?

In short, the library has more than 200,000 books and over 250,000 periodicals in print and online.

This includes over 80,000 circulating books which are mostly located on the 3rd floor. The library also provide access to more than 82,000 ebooks that are accessible through the library catalog or discovery search. Nearly 4,000 additional books are available in the reference area for browsing, but not checkout.

The library also provide access to over 180 electronic databases and nearly 250,000 electronic journals or periodicals.

The print journal collection includes more than 40 current subscriptions and over 1,600 additional titles in the bound periodicals section.

Additionally, the library has about 840 government documents for the state of Texas, located on the 3rd floor.

The University Archives and Special Collections unit within the library contains documents and collections relevant to the history of the University and East Texas. The archives also supports an institutional repository which provides online access to materials that are part of the scholarly output of the University such as student theses and dissertations.
