What is Zotero?

Someone told me I can use Zotero to create my bibliography and cite my sources. What is Zotero? How do I do that?

Answer

Zotero is a citation manager that is freely available on the web. Visit the Zotero website to learn more.

Citation managers are tools that allow you to import and store citations. These citations can be shared with others and used to create bibliographies. For more information about citation managers see our Citation Mangers Guide.

With Zotero you can use your web browser to automatically store and cite resources. It can be used with most library databases, and just about anywhere on the web.
