Q

How can I access EBSCO databases from my mobile device?

I want to search an EBSCO database on my iPad, iPhone, or Android device. The EBSCO application is asking me for an authentication key or school code. How do I get that?

Answer

Go to the following web address:

https://ezproxy.uttyler.edu/login?url=http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=ip,uid&profile=ehost

If you are off campus you will be asked to sign in with your Patriot credentials.

Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on "iPhone and Android apps."

A pop up box will appear. Enter your email address and click "Send."

You will receive an e-mail from EBSCO. Open it on your device.

Follow the instructions in the e-mail and you will be authenticated into the EBSCO application.
