Answer

Service animals are generally limited to dogs.  They are allowed in any public buildings -including the Robert R. Muntz Library.  They must be under the control of the handler by means of leash or like device that is no longer than 6 feet, or by voice command.

Student Accessibility and Resources encourages that students’ animals be registered with their office.

Emotional Support Animals

Currently, the only buildings required to allow emotional support animals at the University of Texas at Tyler are the dorms and apartments.
